Elements of Organic Beekeeping

  • Treating the already weakened honeybees for diseases caused by their compromised health. Only natural, wholesome and health-giving materials and methods are used for this purpose.
  • Building the strength of the honeybees through nutritional supplements. Only high quality ingredients are used for supplements.
  • Improving on the available forage in the area local to the beeyard within the control of the beekeeper.
  • Responsible winter preparation is given great emphasis. The stress of cold causes great harm to honeybees. Every attempt is made to protect honeybees from winter temperatures.
  • Queen selection and breeding using methods most harmonious with the nature of bees and colonies.
  • Maintain a sanitary environment both in the hive and in the apiary.
Declaration of Beliefs Whatever our individual religious foundations, we are united by our devotion to prudent and wholesome ways to return balance to our relationship with Our Earth. As Organic Beekeepers and Honeybee Stewards we each choose Organic Beekeeping methods as a matter of belief and conscience.
